Why listen to podcasts as a B2B SaaS founder?
Top SaaS founders don't make all the mistakes themselves. Listening to podcasts is a great way for B2B SaaS founders to both learn from others, avoid repeating common mistakes, and get inspired.
Books are great. And I'm the biggest advocate of reading being part of your daily habit. But, as a SaaS founder you spend a lot of time in front of the computer. Thus, it can be nice switching things up every now and then with a podcast.
Selecting a podcast can be difficult though. You don't want spend your valuable time on irrelevant podcasts, with questionable merits, or where quality does not hold up. You want the best.
After +5 years of listening my way through virtually all podcasts in startups, SaaS and B2B - here are the big top list for B2B SaaS podcasts.
9 Best Podcasts in B2B SaaS
Here are the 9 best podcasts you should listen to if you are into B2B SaaS.
Who are you? Listen to these top podcasts as SaaS founder, growth hacker, builder or entrepreneur - to get ahead of competition, learn from the best, and take your business to the next level.

A bit more product oriented at times, and not exclusively B2B SaaS. But all throughout - really high quality and worth a listen.

The Tekpon SaaS is a classic with +250 episodes of founders at various stages of their startup journeys. The podcast is focused on SaaS, and often on companies at quite early stages - which makes it an interesting listen.
Also, with short episodes, around 20 minutes, and a rapid question format - it's a good way to get some quick inspiration and learn more about the journey's behind some cool startups.
Host: Cristian Dina, Managing director at Tekpon - a marketplace for SaaS tackling the issue of paid reviews in SaaS. He is also author of the book King of Networking - and not surprisingly, a well connected guy in the world of SaaS. When Cristian's not on the pod, he can be seen networking his way through the big SaaS events around the globe.
9. StartUp (bonus)
In short StartUp is a documentary-like show about what it’s really like to start a business.
On the topic of B2B SaaS podcasts - this is an honorable mention, as one of the best and most unique podcasts on startups I have listened to.
Like most good things - it was referred to me, by a good friend and B2B SaaS founder Max.
The podcast was launched in 2014 by Alex Blumberg, founder of Gimlet Media. And it's about.. the entreprenuerial journey of founding Gimlet Media and exiting to Spotify (during the podcast's timespan).
So, if you listen to it in chronological order you will, IN REAL TIME, get to experience - the birth of their startup, co-founder conflicts, investor dialogues, culture problems, growth ache, and finally a big exit to Spotify.
Now with +10M downloads, this is an absolute classic. But it's not actively updated - so I would recommend to listen to the first season, and start with e1.
Host: Alex Blumberg is the co-founder of Gimlet Media. He is an award-winning radio journalist. Prior to Gimlet, he was a producer for This American Life and the co-founder of Planet Money.
Fun fact: This podcast is so good the company Gimlet Media got acquired by Spotify (well, they had a pretty solid SaaS product too..) AND it has been adapted into an ABC sitcom called Alex, Inc.
Why participate in podcasts as a B2B SaaS founder?
Being a guest on a podcast can be a great way to (A) grow your network as a founder in B2B SaaS, also (B) build your personal brand, and (C) share your startup's story to a lot of highly relevant people.
My first podcast appearance was on the Tekpon podcast with Cristian Dina. It was a lot of fun and the 15 minutes flew past. To me, also an inspiration to do more of these.
